What THIS vegan eats
This apple tart is super easy. Using pre-made pastry means you can whip them up in no time at all but they taste simply yummy. These work as a nice little cheat when you want a homemade dessert but are really short on time!
Ingredients (serves 2)
Cut two squares of puff-pastry just a little bigger than the apple. Cut the apple in half, then cut a bit from each end where the core is, then make a few slits in the top of the apples. Place apples in the centre of the puff-pastry and rub with a little sugar and, for a little extra flavour, a hint of cinnamon powder. Cook in the oven until pastry is golden.
Serve with a scoop of lemon sorbet of vegan vanilla ice cream for a more indulgent dessert.
